Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ عِيَاضٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مِرَارٍ (١) " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When a dog licks the utensil of any one of you, he should wash that utensil seven times.
