حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ: وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا تَسْعَوْنَ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَمْشُونَ، وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا، وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When the prayer is established, do not come running for the prayer, but come with calmness and tranquility. Whatever part of the prayer you catch, perform it, and complete what you have missed.
