حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ، وَلِي عِيَالٌ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ (٣) نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ، أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ، ، فِي صِغَرِهِ، وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ " قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: " وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ بَعِيرًا " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) once sent a marriage proposal for himself to his cousin Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her). She said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have become old and I have small children." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Among the women who ride camels, the best women are the women of Quraysh, who are most compassionate to their children in childhood and are the best protectors of their husbands' honor." Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Maryam (peace be upon her) never rode a camel.
