حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، وَالْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " شَرُّ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامُ الْوَلِيمَةِ، يُدْعَى الْغَنِيُّ، وَيُتْرَكُ الْمِسْكِينُ، وَهِيَ حَقٌّ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَهَا، فَقَدْ عَصَى " (٢) وَكَانَ مَعْمَرٌ رُبَّمَا قَالَ: وَمَنْ لَمْ يُجِبِ الدَّعْوَةَ، فَقَدْ عَصَى اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the worst food is the food of the wedding feast to which the rich are invited and the poor are left out, even though it is rightful. And whoever does not accept the invitation after being invited has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ).
