Musnad Ahmad Hadith 7586

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once there was a heated argument between two men, one of whom was a Muslim and the other a Jew. The Muslim, swearing by his statement, said, "By Him who gave Muhammad (peace be upon him) superiority over all the worlds," and the Jew, swearing by his statement, said, "By Him who gave Musa (peace be upon him) superiority over all the worlds." At this, the Muslim became angry and slapped the Jew. The Jew went to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and related the entire incident. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) called the Muslim and inquired from him, and he admitted to slapping the Jew. Upon this, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Do not give me superiority over Musa (peace be upon him), for on the Day of Resurrection, all people will fall unconscious. I will be the first to regain consciousness, and at that time I will see that Musa (peace be upon him) is holding onto one of the pillars of the Throne. I do not know whether he will be among those who also fall unconscious and regains consciousness before me, or among those whom Allah has exempted."
