English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: There are three practices from the time of ignorance that Muslims will not abandon: wailing over the dead, seeking rain through the stars, and doing such-and-such. I asked Saeed what this meant. He explained that it refers to, during fights and quarrels, calling upon one's family or saying "O family of so-and-so, O family of so-and-so," as was done in the time of ignorance.
