حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَالِمًا، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يُقْبَضُ الْعِلْمُ، وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ، وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ " قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ: " الْقَتْلُ " (٣)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Knowledge will be taken away, tribulations will appear, and killing will become widespread. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), what is meant by killing?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) replied: Killing, killing.
