Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَجْهَرَ الْقَوْمُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِالْقُرْآنِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the people to raise their voices over one another when reciting Qur`an between Maghrib and `Isha`.
