حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْقَعْقَاعُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ مِثْلُ الْوَالِدِ، أُعَلِّمُكُمْ، فَإِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْخَلَاءَ، فَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوهَا وَلَا تَسْتَدْبِرُوهَا، وَلَا يَسْتَنْجِي بِيَمِينِهِ "، وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ، وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الرَّوَثِ وَالرِّمَّةِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: I am like a father to you, so it is my responsibility to teach you. When you go to the toilet, do not sit facing the Qiblah or with your back towards it. Also, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade cleaning oneself with dung and decayed bones, and said: No person should clean himself with his right hand. And the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) used to command cleaning oneself with three stones.
