Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي، لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ، وَتَأْخِيرِ الْعِشَاءِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated in a marfu’ form from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that if I did not fear hardship for my ummah, I would have commanded them to use the miswak at the time of every prayer and to delay the ‘Isha prayer.
