إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ النَّاسِ، كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا، فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ، جَعَلَ الْفَرَاشُ وَالدَّوَابُّ تَتَقَحَّمُ فِيهَا، فَأَنَا آخِذٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ، وَأَنْتُمْ تَوَاقَعُونَ فِيهَا " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

And the example of me and the people is like that of a person who kindled a fire; when the fire illuminated the surroundings, moths and insects began to fall into it. So I am grabbing you by the back to pull you away, but you keep falling into it.
