حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: جَاءَ الطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدَّوْسِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ عَصَتْ وَأَبَتْ، فَادْعُ اللهَ عَلَيْهِمْ. فَاسْتَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقِبْلَةَ، وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: هَلَكُوا. فَقَالَ: " اللهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَائْتِ بِهِمْ، اللهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَائْتِ بِهِمْ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Tufail bin Amr Dosi (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "The people of the tribe of Daws are persistent in disobedience and denial, so please supplicate against them." Thereupon, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) turned towards the Qiblah and raised both hands. The people said, "The people of the tribe of Daws are destroyed." But the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) prayed three times, "O Allah! Grant guidance to the tribe of Daws and bring them here."
