English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man came to the service of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "I am ruined." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "What has ruined you?" He said, "I had intercourse with my wife during the day in the month of Ramadan." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Free a slave." He said, "I do not have a slave." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Fast for two consecutive months." He said, "I do not have the strength for that." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Feed sixty needy people." He said, "I do not have that much." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Sit down." In the meantime, a large basket of dates was brought to the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) from somewhere. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Take this and feed sixty needy people on your behalf." He submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! From this corner of Madinah to that corner, there is no household more needy than ours." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) smiled and said, "Go, you and your family eat it."
