Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty has taken it upon Himself regarding the person who sets out in His path, that if he sets out only with the intention of striving in My path, believing in Me and affirming My Messenger, then it is My responsibility to admit him into Paradise or to return him to his abode in such a state that he has attained reward or spoils of war. By the One in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (ﷺ), whoever is wounded in the path of Allah, he will come on the Day of Resurrection in the same fresh state as he was on the day he was wounded. Its color will be like blood, but its fragrance will be like musk. By the One in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (ﷺ), if I did not think that it would be hard on the Muslims, I would never stay behind any expedition that sets out in the path of Allah, but I do not find the means so that they could follow me, nor would they be pleased in their hearts, and after me, they would begin to stay behind from participating in jihad. By the One in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (ﷺ), I wish that I strive in the path of Allah and attain martyrdom, then be given life, then participate in jihad and be martyred, then participate in jihad and be martyred.
