حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ ظَبْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي تِحْيَى، قَالَ: لَمَّا ضَرَبَ ابْنُ مُلْجِمٍ عَلِيًّا الضَّرْبَةَ، قَالَ: عَلِيٌّ: افْعَلُوا بِهِ كَمَا أَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ بِرَجُلٍ أَرَادَ قَتْلَهُ، فَقَالَ: " اقْتُلُوهُ ثُمَّ حَرِّقُوهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Abu Tihya said:
When Ibn Muljim struck `Ali (رضي الله عنه), ‘Ali said: Do with him what the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wanted to be done with a man who wanted to kill him. He said: `Kill him, then burn him.`
