حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ سَمَّعَ، ، النَّاسَ بِعَمَلِهِ (١) سَمَّعَ اللهُ بِهِ سَامِعَ (٢) خَلْقِهِ، وَحَقَّرَهُ (٣) وَصَغَّرَهُ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever seeks fame among people through his deeds, Allah hands him over to them and humiliates and disgraces him."
