English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) passed by Sa’d while he was performing ablution. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Sa’d! What is this extravagance?” He replied, “Is there extravagance even in ablution?” The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Yes, even if you are at a flowing river.”
