حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْأَخْنَسِ أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا نَذْرَ وَلَا يَمِينَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ ابْنُ آدَمَ، وَلَا فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَلَا قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ، فَمَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا، فَلْيَدَعْهَا، وَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ، فَإِنَّ تَرْكَهَا كَفَّارَتُهَا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no vow or oath in matters over which a person has no ownership, or in acts of disobedience to Allah, or in severing ties of kinship. Whoever swears an oath about something and then sees something better, let him leave the former and choose the better, for abandoning the former is its expiation."
