حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ: " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُهْدِيَتْ لَهُ حُلَّةٌ سِيَرَاءُ، فَأَرْسَلَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ، فَرُحْتُ بِهَا، فَعَرَفْتُ فِي وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْغَضَبَ، قَالَ: فَقَسَمْتُهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِي " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from `Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Prophet (ﷺ) was given a suit of pure silk. He sent it to me and I went to him in the evening wearing it. I recognised anger on the face of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).So I shared it among my womenfolk.
