Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبَ، فَإِنَّهُ نُورُ الْمُسْلِمِ، مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً، وَكَفَّرَ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً، وَرَفَعَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not pluck out white hairs, for they are the light of a Muslim. For every hair that turns white in the state of Islam, a good deed is written for the Muslim, a rank is raised, or a sin is forgiven."
