Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، وَمُعَمَّرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّقِّيُّ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَجُوزُ شَهَادَةُ خَائِنٍ، وَلَا مَحْدُودٍ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، وَلَا ذِي غِمْرٍ عَلَى أَخِيهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The testimony of any treacherous man or woman is not accepted, nor is the testimony of a person who has been subjected to a prescribed punishment in Islam, or a person who is inexperienced, accepted in favor of his brother."
