Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ، حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلًى لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الشَّمْسَ حِينَ غَرَبَتْ، فَقَالَ: " فِي نَارِ اللهِ الْحَامِيَةِ (٥) ، لَوْلَا مَا، ، يَزَعُهَا (١) مِنْ أَمْرِ اللهِ لَأَهْلَكَتْ مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saw the sun setting and said: "This is a fire kindled by Allah. If Allah did not protect (everything) from it by His command, it would destroy all things present on the earth."
