Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَّامٍ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ ظَبْيَانَ، عَنْ حُكَيْمِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَبِي تِحْيَى، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ سَفَرًا قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ بِكَ أَصُولُ، وَبِكَ أَحُولُ (١) ، وَبِكَ أَسِيرُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
When the Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to travel he would say: `By Your help, O Allah, I move about and by Your help I travel and by Your help I walk.”
