حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي قَاعِدًا، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي حُدِّثْتُ أَنَّكَ قُلْتَ: " أَنَّ صَلَاةَ الْقَاعِدِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ " وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي جَالِسًا؟ قَالَ: " أَجَلْ، وَلَكِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that once I saw the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performing voluntary prayers while sitting. I said, "I have been told that you say the reward for praying while sitting is half of that of praying while standing?" The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I am not like you."
