Translation

English translation

Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Nauf gathered at a certain place. Nauf said: "We have been informed that Allah Almighty said to His angels: 'Call My servants.' The angels submitted: 'O Lord, how can this be when there are seven heavens and beyond them the Throne as a barrier between them?' Allah said: 'When they say La ilaha illallah Allah, their call will be accepted.' Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day, we performed the Maghrib prayer with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). Some people, among whom I was also included, sat waiting for the next prayer. After a short while, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was seen coming towards us quickly. The scene is still preserved in my eyes that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) had lifted his lower garment so that it would be easier to walk. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) reached us and said: 'Glad tidings to you! Your Lord has opened a door of the sky and is boasting about you before the angels, saying: My servants have performed one obligatory act and are waiting for the next one.'"
