حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، سَمِعْتُ سَيْفًا، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ رُشَيْدٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو: حَدِّثْنِي مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَدَعْنِي وَمَا وَجَدْتَ فِي وَسْقِكَ يَوْمَ الْيَرْمُوكِ. قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Rasheed Hujairi’s father that a man said to Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him): “On the day of the Battle of Yarmouk, please pardon me for any harm that came to you from me, and tell me a hadith that you yourself heard from the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).” He replied: “I heard the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) say: ‘A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe.’”
