حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ (٢) ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، قَالَ: أَبْعَثُكَ فِيمَا بَعَثَنِي " رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُسَوِّيَ كُلَّ قَبْرٍ، وَأَطْمِسَ كُلَّ صَنَمٍ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Jareer bin Hayyan from his father that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
I shall send you on the same mission as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent me. Level every grave and destroy every idol.
