حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْفَرَّاءُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ،، ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ؟ فَقَالَ: " لَا أُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ، وَمَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ مَوْلُودٌ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْسُكَ عَنْهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ، عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ، وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that someone asked the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about "Aqiqah." The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I do not like disobedience. Whoever wishes to offer a sacrifice on behalf of his child should slaughter two equal goats for a boy and one goat for a girl."
