حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، وَهِيَ صَائِمَةٌ فِي يَوْمِ جُمُعَةٍ، فَقَالَ لَهَا: " أَصُمْتِ أَمْسِ "، فَقَالَتْ: لَا، قَالَ: " أَتُرِيدِينَ أَنْ تَصُومِي غَدًا "، فَقَالَتْ: لَا، قَالَ: " فَأَفْطِرِي إِذًا "، ، قَالَ سَعِيدٌ: وَوَافَقَنِي عَلَيْهِ مَطَرٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) came to Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Juwayriyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) on a Friday while she was fasting. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked her, “Did you fast yesterday?” She replied, “No.” The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Do you intend to fast tomorrow?” She replied, “No.” The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Then break your fast.”
