حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الْخَيْرِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي، يَقُولُ: إِنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَيُّ الْإِسْلَامِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ سَلِمَ النَّاسُ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "O Messenger of Allah! Peace and blessings be upon him, which Islam is best?" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, replied: "That from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe."
