English translation
Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Nauf gathered at a certain place. Nauf said: If the heavens and the earth and all that is between them were placed on one side of the scale, and "La ilaha illallah" were placed on the other side, the latter side would outweigh the former. If the heavens and the earth and all that is in them became sheets of iron, and a man said "La ilaha illallah," then this statement would tear through all those sheets of iron and reach Allah. Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day, we performed the Maghrib prayer with the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Those who were leaving departed, and those who came later arrived. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) came in such a state that his clothes were almost lifted from his knees, and he said: "O group of Muslims, rejoice! Your Lord has opened a door of the sky and is boasting about you before the angels, saying: My servants have fulfilled one obligation and are waiting for another."
