حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْخَفَّافُ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، حَدَّثَنِي (٣) عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: لَيْسَ لِي مَالٌ، وَلِي يَتِيمٌ؟ فَقَالَ (٤) : " كُلْ مِنْ مَالِ يَتِيمِكَ غَيْرَ مُسْرِفٍ " أَوْ قَالَ: " وَلَا تَفْدِي مَالَكَ بِمَالِهِ " - شَكَّ حُسَيْنٌ (٥)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ): "I do not have any wealth, but I have an orphaned nephew." The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "You may eat from your orphaned nephew's wealth, that which does not fall under extravagance," or he said: "Do not make your wealth a ransom in exchange for his wealth."
