حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنُودِيَ بِالصَّلَاةِ جَامِعَةً، " فَرَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي سَجْدَةٍ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي سَجْدَةٍ، ثُمَّ جُلِّيَ عَنِ الشَّمْسِ " قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: " مَا سَجَدْتُ سُجُودًا قَطُّ، وَلَا رَكَعْتُ رُكُوعًا قَطُّ، كَانَ أَطْوَلَ مِنْهُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once during the blessed era of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), there was a solar eclipse, so the announcement was made: "The prayer is ready." The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) performed two bowings (ruku) in one rak'ah, and did the same in the second rak'ah. Then the sun became bright again. Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that since that day, I have never seen such long bowings and prostrations.
