حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (١) يَعْنِي الرَّازِيَّ، وَخَالِدٌ يَعْنِي الطَّحَّانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً، فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " أَمَّا الْمَنِيُّ فَفِيهِ الْغُسْلُ، وَأَمَّا الْمَذْيُ فَفِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
I was a man who emitted a great deal of madhi (prostatic fluid). I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (about that) and he said: “As for mani (semen), ghusl due for it; as for madhi (prostatic fluid), wudoo’ is due for it.”
