حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ: " أَنْ تُطْعِمَ الطَّعَامَ، وَتَقْرَأَ السَّلَامَ عَلَى مَنْ عَرَفْتَ، وَمَنْ، ، لَمْ تَعْرِفْ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man asked the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "Which deed is the best?" The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, replied: "That you feed others and greet with peace both those whom you know and those whom you do not know."
