حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ قُلُوبَ بَنِي آدَمَ كُلَّهَا بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَقَلْبٍ وَاحِدٍ، يُصَرِّفُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ " ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اللهُمَّ مُصَرِّفَ الْقُلُوبِ، اصْرِفْ قُلُوبَنَا (١) إِلَى طَاعَتِكَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that he heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "All the hearts of the children of Adam are between two fingers of Allah, like a single heart. He turns them as He wills." Then the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated: "O Allah, Turner of the hearts! Turn our hearts towards Your obedience."
