حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، وَسُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، - رَفَعَهُ سُفْيَانُ وَوَقَفَهُ مِسْعَرٌ - قَالَ: " مِنَ الْكَبَائِرِ، أَنْ يَشْتُمَ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ " قَالُوا: وَكَيْفَ يَشْتُمُ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ؟ قَالَ: " يَسُبُّ أَبَا الرَّجُلِ، فَيَسُبُّ أَبَاهُ، وَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ، فَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "One of the major sins is that a man abuses his parents." The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How can a man abuse his own parents?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "He abuses another man's father, and that man in return abuses his father; and he abuses another man's mother, and that man in return abuses his mother."
