حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ (١) مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ، وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى الله عَنْهُ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that I heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: A Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe, and a Muhajir (emigrant) is one who abandons what Allah has forbidden.
