حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ: " لَمَّا نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ " قَالُوا: لَيْسَ كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَجِدُ سِقَاءً؟ " فَأَرْخَصَ فِي الْجَرِّ غَيْرِ الْمُزَفَّتِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) forbade the vessels of wine, the people said: "Not everyone has a waterskin." Upon this, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) allowed the use of earthen pots except for the "muzaffat."
