حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كَبْشَةَ السَّلُولِيُّ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي يَقُولُ: " بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً، وَحَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا حَرَجَ، وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا، فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that he heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Convey from me, even if it is only one verse. You may also mention the stories of Bani Israel, there is no harm in it. And whoever attributes a lie to me should prepare his abode in Hell."
