حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا أُعْطِيكُمْ وَأَدَعُ أَهْلَ الصُّفَّةِ تَلَوَّى بُطُونُهُمْ مِنَ الْجُوعِ " وَقَالَ: مَرَّةً: " لَا أُخْدِمُكُمَا وَأَدَعُ أَهْلَ الصُّفَّةِ تَطْوَى " (١)، •
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “I will not give to you and leave Ahlus-Suffah suffering from hunger.` On one occasion he said: `I shall not give you a servant and leave Ahlus-Suffah suffering from hunger.”
