حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ: ثُمَّ شَهِدْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ، بَدَأَ بِالصَّلاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ، وَصَلَّى بِلا أَذَانٍ وَلا إِقَامَةٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى، ، أَنْ يُمْسِكَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ نُسُكِهِ شَيْئًا فَوْقَ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ " (١)، ، •
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Abu `Ubaid, the freed slave of ‘Abdur Rahman bin `Awf, said:
Then I saw `Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) after that on the day of Eid; he started with the prayer before the khutbah and he prayed with no adhan or iqamah. Then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbidding (the people) to leave any of the meat of their sacrifice after three days.
