حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ - وَنَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ حُمْرَانَ مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَسْبَغَ الْوُضُوءَ، ثُمَّ مَشَى إِلَى صَلاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ فَصَلَّاهَا، غُفِرَ لَهُ ذَنْبُهُ " (٢) .، ،

Translation

English translation

It was narrated from Humran, the freed slave of ‘Uthman, that `Uthman bin `Affan said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: `Whoever does wudoo’ and does it properly, then goes to offer an obligatory prayer and offers it, his sins will be forgiven.”
