حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، قَالَ:، قَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَامٍ، فَقَالَ: قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقَامِي عَامَ الْأَوَّلِ، فَقَالَ: " سَلُوا اللهَ الْعَافِيَةَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يُعْطَ عَبْدٌ شَيْئًا أَفْضَلَ مِنَ الْعَافِيَةِ، وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ وَالْبِرِّ فَإِنَّهُمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ وَالْفُجُورَ فَإِنَّهُمَا فِي النَّارِ " (٣) .،
Translation
English translation
It was narrâted that Abu 'Ubaidah said:
Abu Bakr stood up, one year after the death of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood where I am standing last year and said: “Ask Allah for well being, for no one is given anything better than well-being. And you should be truthful and righteous, for they lead to Paradise. Beware of lying and immorality, for they lead to Hell.`
