حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَبَسَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى اصْفَرَّتِ الشَّمْسُ، أَوِ احْمَرَّتْ، فَقَالَ: " شَغَلُونَا عَنِ، ، الصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى (١) ، مَلَأَ اللهُ أَجْوَافَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا "، أَوْ: " حَشَا اللهُ أَجْوَافَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Khandaq, the polytheists did not give the Prophet (ﷺ) the opportunity to perform the Asr prayer until the sun had set. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "May Allah fill their houses and graves with fire, for they did not allow us to perform the Asr prayer until the sun had set."
