حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: انْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ، وَنَحْنُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًى حَتَّى ذَهَبَتْ فِرْقَةٌ مِنْهُ، خَلْفَ الْجَبَلِ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اشْهَدُوا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), the moon was split into two parts. At that time, we were with the Prophet (ﷺ) at Mina, until one part of the moon went behind the mountain. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Bear witness."
