Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَهَبَ لِحَاجَتِهِ، فَأَمَرَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ، فَجَاءَهُ (١) بِحَجَرَيْنِ وَبِرَوْثَةٍ، فَأَلْقَى الرَّوْثَةَ، وَقَالَ: " إِنَّهَا رِكْسٌ، ائْتِنِي بِحَجَرٍ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ood that they said:
O Messenger of Allah, how will you recognize those of your ummah whom you have not seen? He said: "They will have shining faces and limbs because of the traces of wudoo'.
