حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَعَفَّانُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْأَسْوَدَ، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ النَّجْمَ، فَسَجَدَ بِهَا، وَسَجَدَ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ "، غَيْرَ أَنَّ شَيْخًا أَخَذَ كَفًّا مِنْ حَصًى، أَوْ تُرَابٍ، فَرَفَعَهُ إِلَى جَبْهَتِهِ، وَقَالَ: يَكْفِينِي هَذَا قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ بَعْدُ قُتِلَ كَافِرًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn Mas'ood said:
When evening came, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would say: "We have reached the evening and at this very time unto Allah belongs all sovereignty, and all praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without any partner."
