حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ النَّهْشَلِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَمْسًا، الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ، قِيلَ لَهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "، قَالُوا: فَإِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا؟ قَالَ: فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ، أَذْكُرُ كَمَا تَذْكُرُونَ، وَأَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:
I came to The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: O Messenger of Allah, Allah has caused Abu Jahl to be killed. He said: "Praise be to Allah Who has granted victory to His slave and caused His religion to prevail."
