Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ الْأُمَمَ عُرِضَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَعُرِضَتْ (١) عَلَيْهِ أُمَّتُهُ، فَأَعْجَبَتْهُ كَثْرَتُهُمْ، فَقِيلَ: " إِنَّ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Mus'ood said:
We talked a great deal in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) one night... And he mentioned the hadeeth.
